HGH for Cholesterol

HGH for Cholesterol Levels

Human growth hormone does many things for the body, not just during puberty but all throughout a person’s life. HGH impacts metabolism, immunity, cellular regeneration, libido, and balancing other hormones. We talk about HGH for cholesterol because of its role in creating homeostasis in cholesterol levels. Too much or too little HGH could lead to elevated LDL cholesterol. Low-density lipoprotein cholesterol is what doctors warn you about if it is too high. However, if the body does not have enough LDL cholesterol, you will have lower than normal progesterone and testosterone levels, as cholesterol is the basis for the production of these hormones. Testosterone, along with HGH, helps keep your metabolism running fine so that you do not gain weight. An increase in visceral adiposity (belly fat) can help increase LDL cholesterol.

The importance of keeping balanced HGH and cholesterol levels is crucial to prevent premature or early mortality. Low growth hormone levels increase the risk of cardiovascular disease due to the following concerns:

  • Low HDL cholesterol
  • Elevated total and LDL cholesterol
  • Increased fat storage (especially abdominal)
  • Insulin resistance
  • Impaired glucose metabolism
  • Metabolic syndrome
  • Elevated levels of C-reactive protein (inflammation)
  • Inflammatory cytokines

Why Does Low HGH Impact Cholesterol?

HGH helps to maintain a higher level of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol that helps remove excess LDL cholesterol from the bloodstream. When the body does not manufacture enough growth hormone, the metabolism alters how it processes the food you consume. Rather than turning it into energy, it stores it away for future use as visceral fat. This adiposity is part of a group of symptoms associated with cardiovascular disease risks that can increase the incidence of stroke and heart attack.

HGH influences hepatic LDL receptors in the liver that process and remove excess cholesterol. The use of HGH for high cholesterol helps the liver create more of these receptors to whisk away the unwanted cholesterol. HDL cholesterol is crucial in this process as it is what delivers the excess LDL cholesterol to the hepatic receptors.

We need HGH for cholesterol because without enough HDL to reduce excess LDL cholesterol; we would have a buildup of cholesterol in the bloodstream. The LDL cholesterol would form a sticky compound of plaque that attaches to the artery walls. The result would be a condition called atherosclerosis where blocked arteries could produce blood clots as the plaque ruptures or breaks loose from the artery walls. These blood clots could block the blood flow to the heart or brain causing a heart attack or stroke.

Can HGH Therapy Improve Cholesterol Levels?

Since lower levels of human growth hormone can raise LDL cholesterol, the only obvious answer would be to increase HGH in the body. By doing so, you can effectively bring total and LDL cholesterol back into balance. When you increase the amount of HGH, lower cholesterol follows.

HDL cholesterol levels remain relatively unchanged, although some individuals who receive long-term HGH therapy report a slight increase in HDL. It is not necessary for HDL cholesterol levels to change as that is the “good” cholesterol that you want. Although we often view LDL as being bad cholesterol, without it, you would not have numerous other essential hormones. The goal of treatment is to help lower total and LDL cholesterol to their optimum levels while balancing other essential markers in the body.

Using HGH for cholesterol requires a doctor’s prescription for HGH injections. You can only receive an HGH prescription if you undergo blood analysis that shows growth hormone deficiency. Only if you are treating a deficiency can you benefit from HGH. Human growth hormone therapy does not work on people with normal HGH levels.
